Viacom 18 Media Pvt. Ltd. is part of one of the largest media conglomerates in the country. A 50/50 joint venture operation in India between Viacom Inc and the Network18 Group, Viacom 18 Media Pvt. Ltd. operates multiple entertainment channels which are leaders in their respective genres – Colors, MTV, Nick, SONIC, Nick Jr., Vh1, Comedy Central. Viacom18 also runs a film business through Viacom18 Motion Pictures, that produces, acquires and distributes Hindi films. This apart, Viacom 18 has a digital business, a LIVE events business and also runs a consumer products division in India.  

The client embarked on an SAP implementation project in 2014. Within a few months of it’s implementation, client realized that several of it’s business processes were unique and required an SAP Media & Entertainment expert to be engaged to deliver in association with it’s implementation partner.Moreover client sought to bring in stronger governance thru diversity, and planned to engage a 3rd party organization for quality assurance. ​


DOT1 was engaged, as our knowledge products brought in considerable hands-on expertise in SAP and deep knowledge of Media and Entertainment business.

  • An SME was assigned, DOT1, to bring in media & entertainment knowledge and SAP expertise
  • DOT1 also assigned a quality assurance expert with SAP project management experience, to oversee quality of project delivery and improve user acceptance

Sula Vineyards is by far India’s first choice in wine. Sula’s award-winning wines are available nationwide at the finest hotels and restaurants, and are also exported throughout the world. The company is also a leading wine and spirits importer, with Sula Selections, a portfolio of prestigious brands like Remy Cointreau, Hardys, Ruffino and Asahi. Sula is well on its way to becoming one of the world’s most sustainable wine producers. Sula decided to implement an ERP to run it’s growing business. Sula understood that some of it’s key business processes were unique and it was critical to identify a solution platform and experienced vendor to reap maximum value from the ERP implementation project. The company sought to identify an onus consultant to drive this initiative.

DOT1 was responsible for solution evaluation & selection and also implementation partner selection for the ERP. DOT1 was subsequently appointed as onus consultant to ensure rigor in quality management of project. DOT1 dovetailed it's Synchronized Fulfilment service product in quality management to project delivery. Bringing in metric driven approach to quality management. DOT1 created an elaborate and comprehensive Quality Management Plan and Configuration Management PLan, outlining quality management - including in-process quality metrics, testing, document templates from business blueprint to design to end user manuals; tracking on input and output and adherence to RACI-S and acceptance criteria.
